SPOTlight: New Years Fash-olution!

Hey Guys!! 2013 is fast approaching what I do each New Year is set a Fash-olution rather than a regular ole resolution - a 'Fash-olution' can be anything e.g. edit wardrobe, have a clear out each month. My past 'Fash-olution' has been: wearing day heels/wedges every other day, wear jeans, stop buying midi skirts - for 2013 I will mainly be working on re-introducing high street pieces into my wardrobe, I have noticed lately I tend to wear head-to-toe charity shop/vintage. Its good when wearing vintage/charity finds to mix it up with high street pieces and I've have lost that balance so 2013 will see a re-introduction of high street again into my wardrobe.

Below I have some examples of a 'Fash-olution' - (oh yeah in the New Year I will be doing more posts like this, street style and trend reports)

Fash-olution 1: Less Is More

Make monochrome your best friend, go for a solid block colour rather a busy print and make a statement with dramatic clean lines. Stockholm street style now your go-to for inspiration.

Fash-olution 2: Pile It Up

Outfit looking a little bleurgh - add a ring or two, re-wearing a  dress, change up the jewellery, add a knot to a maxi skirt for a fresh new look. The devil is in the detail take your outfit from boring to phwoar with something as simple as a bowler hat.

Fash-olution 3: Daredevil 

Fashion is all about having fun so be daring and wearing something you would not normally wear, you never know it may end up being your favourite item. Try out a trend, visit a store you do not shop at normally - step out your comfort zone and have fun with fashion.
